KCW- Day 4

Of course I'm behind. It's day 6 of KCW and I'm just now blogging about day 4. Also, my camera's memory card is missing. Face palm. So you get cell phone pics.
This is the simple skirt I started on day 3. I started the day's sewing by finishing it up. I love the fabric! She loves the heart pockets.

I also had just enough time to make a new wool cover for the baby boy. He has out grown his old ones & I really missed them! Wool covers are fantastic for overnight diapering. Plus I love a big fluffy baby butt.

KCW- Day 3

I finished this little grump's romper on day 2 of KCW but didn't get any pics until this afternoon. I really like the way it turned out. It is completely my little girl's style. I used this tutorial and really only switched up the straps/ties.

On day 3 I finished one bapron. I love those little robo-aliens!
I also started a simple skirt for my big girl while baby napped. All I need to do is add the elastic waistband and stitch down the pockets.

Getting to observe this MOTH! We did a bunch of research but still haven't figured out what kind of moth this guy is.
Pasta with spinach, peas, chicken & feta. Yum.
Little helpers when I need to mop.
A little hug for a good job feeding the chickens.
New fabric from a date with my grandma.
This little guy snuggled up in the Girasol Natural Mama WCRS.

Kids Clothes Week Days 1 & 2

Are you participating in Kids Clothes Week?

KCWC

I'm trying to! I was really inspired this year because on Sunday my lovely grandma took me out for a girls day. The first thing we did was hit up the fabric stores! She totally spoiled me and bought me a giant stack of fabric from Hancock Fabrics. I then bought myself a slightly smaller but still impressive stack from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I am such a happy camper!
Caetlin talked me into working on something for her first.
Did I mention she is a big fan of superheroes? Spider-Man is her favorite!
I got all of the pieces cut out on day one and about 1/3 of the sewing. Today I finished it but I haven't had time to photograph it yet. I'll have to do that tomorrow before starting on my next projects. Are baprons considered clothes? In any case baby needs some! He totally rocks the pink Hello Kitty one we've got now but I'd like to make some new ones just for him & so I don't HAVE to do laundry every night.

Happiness is...(week 15)

Despite puking my guts out on Thursday and then sleeping for almost 20 hours in a 24 hour period, with a sicky baby boy, this week was pretty good.

Getting a doll stroller ride from big sister.
Donating 85 ounces of milk to a baby in need.
Strawberry-cherry smoothie with chia seeds & probiotics. (& the boy's 'stache shirt!)
Finally getting the too small clothes washed, sorted & ready for my friend's little boy.
My first kefir water!
Resting my tired legs and watching some anime after doing squats.
