Sometimes it's hard being me.

No really it is. Especially when I'm sick and feel like I've been beaten up. Luckily, I married a great guy. One who took a half sick day so I could sleep for 2 hours. In silence. Because he bundled up the girls and took them to the playground. It was heaven. And now I feel MUCH improved. In fact I feel so good I finished my latest project while he made ribs, baked potatoes and broccoli for dinner. Yum-O!

And without further ado, my loverly new coat rack mirror.
I picked up at the mirror at the Goodwill on Monday for $40 bucks, which is a little more than I wanted to pay but it was the perfect size and all. It was an ugly orange-y wood when I got it, so I sanded it down, filled a couple little holes and sprayed it with Rust-O-lem in Heirloom White. Added some hardware from Home Depot for $2.50 each. And then distressed the edges just a bit.
And this is where it'll hang as soon as I borrow my FIL stud finder.

So maybe it's not so hard being me...

  1. Oh, Kristie, seriously a two hour nap in silence sounds just about as close to heaven as you can get!! What a great hubby! AND DINNER!!!

Don't you find that California thrift stores have the highest prices??? Seems like everyone else gets such steals at the thrift store, but I'm always shocked at the prices around here!

    How's your serger treating you?
